Overview

The Manager, Learning and Development position ensures the Learning and Development (L&D) department programs and initiatives are delivered at the highest standards of excellence. This role oversees the development, implementation, and management of learning programs and projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with the Inteleos mission and strategic objectives. The Manager, Learning and Development will promote and support the Inteleos culture of inclusivity.

In Short

  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of L&D programs, ensuring smooth execution across platforms and continuous improvement;
  • Manage programs, workflows, and projects in education, training, content development, test creation, and proficiency assessment, ensuring effective delivery;
  • Manage the creation of clinical educational content and ensure adherence to best practices in the development of education, training, and assessment programs to foster continuous learning and proficiency among healthcare professionals;
  • Coordinate volunteer subject matter expert (SME) engagement and manage relationships in collaboration with the Volunteer Engagement department;
  • Engage, source, and collaborate with external vendors and partners to enhance learning offerings, ensuring prompt and accurate execution of contracts;
  • Monitor the daily activities of designated staff, providing training, professional development, mentorship, and performance evaluations to maximize team potential and foster a collaborative environment;
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and guidelines, making revisions as needed to ensure alignment with organizational goals;
  • Innovate new ways to assess competencies and deliver learning in engaging, user-friendly formats;
  • Ensure that all learning programs and assessments meet regulatory and accreditation standards, including compliance with ANSI-ISO 17024 accreditation, where applicable;
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align learning initiatives and product development with broader organizational projects and strategic goals;

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in education, instructional design, or equivalent experience in related field;
  • Five years of experience in learning and development with a minimum of three years developing educational products in various formats;
  • Minimum of five years managing cross-functional teams;
  • Project management certification (Scrum/Agile), preferred.
  • Extensive experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining educational programs, including e-learning, with knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) implementation;
  • Strong expertise in learning, training, and assessment, with a preference for experience in adult learning theory;
  • Working knowledge of educational psychometrics and performance assessment;
  • Proven leadership in managing departmental staff and external stakeholders, with expertise in collaborative and consensus-building techniques;
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, teams, and timelines, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a focus on customer service and team collaboration;
  • Ability to rigorously analyze problems from multiple angles, using sound practical judgment to develop solutions and proficient in data analysis, with the ability to forecast trends and identify opportunities and challenges;
