Bilingual Accountant - Remote

Overview

Young Viper Gear is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Accountant proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese to join our growing e-commerce company. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance (based in the US) and interact daily with our accountant based in China. This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity of our US and global operations, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and supporting the smooth collaboration between our US and Chinese financial teams.

In Short

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and month-end closings.
• Communicate daily with the accountant in China to align on intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and compliance matters.
• Translate financial documents and ensure accurate interpretation for seamless collaboration between US and Chinese teams.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, as well as local regulations in both the US and China.
• Assist with federal, state, and international tax filings and audits.
• Manage invoicing, vendor payments, and accounts receivable processes.
• Support the Head of Finance in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement improvements.
• Experience with Kingdee Software is required.

Requirements

• Must be bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the e-commerce industry with experience working with Amazon marketplace.
• Experience consolidating P&L reports from multiple companies into one report.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with Chinese accounting principles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience working cross-culturally with international teams, particularly in China.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
