Senior Revenue Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join our finance team at Instructure, Inc. The Senior Revenue Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

In Short

• Perform revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 guidelines.
• Analyze contracts and agreements for revenue recognition treatment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Operations teams.
• Prepare documentation for revenue recognition policies.
• Assist in implementing revenue recognition software.
• Conduct reviews and reconciliations of revenue accounts.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Stay updated on accounting standards related to revenue.
• Provide guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting.
• Thorough understanding of ASC 606 guidelines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Netsuite).
• Experience with revenue recognition automation tools is a plus.
