Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the design of low and medium voltage power systems and acts as the primary technical interface for the equipment they are assigned.

In Short

• Create bill of material and drawing packages for manufacture for complex and highly customized equipment.
• Perform design, troubleshooting, and commissioning job functions for assigned projects.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact for the equipment design during manufacturing and testing phases.
• Lead coordination with mechanical designers for optimized layouts.
• Select and validate components, ensuring compatibility and compliance.
• Independently author sequence of operation documents.
• Work with test and field service teams to verify system operation.
• Support factory witness tests and communicate technical solutions.
• Provide advanced design support and identify design risks.
• Mentor junior engineers, reviewing designs and providing guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Previous field service experience is a big plus.
• Industrial automation experience is a big plus.
