Overview

The Crisis Social Worker PRN utilizes clinical expertise to assess crisis situations and provide appropriate resources and referrals for patients, working collaboratively with healthcare teams and families.

In Short

  • Perform psychosocial assessments and develop care plans.
  • Provide individual and family treatment as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
  • Conduct crisis interventions and referrals to community services.
  • Work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care.
  • Credentialing may be required for behavioral health settings.
  • Provide support and debriefing for staff after adverse events.
  • Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Experience with mental health patients preferred.

Requirements

  • Current State Licensure as CSW, ACMHC, AMFT, LCSW, LMFT, or CMHC.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills including email and word processing.
  • Ability to lift and assist with patient transport.
  • Manual dexterity for operating medical equipment.
  • Ability to work in high-stress and emergency situations.
  • Ongoing need for visual and auditory communication with patients.
  • Ability to navigate crowded environments safely.
  • Willingness to cover shifts as needed.
  • Experience with treatment teams and family interactions.
