We are seeking a Director of Technical SEO to lead the next phase of organic search growth across our network of brands, requiring deep SEO expertise and strong cross-functional collaboration.

In Short

• Own and evolve the technical SEO strategy for IGN Entertainment’s global portfolio.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams for high-impact SEO improvements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between SEO and product/engineering organizations.
• Drive SEO testing and experimentation with analytics teams.
• Monitor site health and build dashboards using platforms like BigQuery.
• Develop internal tools to support scalable SEO workflows.
• Stay ahead of emerging search trends and identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with editorial teams to inform scalable content strategies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical SEO for large-scale websites.
• Experience leading SEO for e-commerce or transactional platforms.
• Strong collaboration with engineering and product organizations.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL; Python experience is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of search engine behavior and modern web applications.
• Hands-on experience with structured data and SEO fundamentals.
• Comfortable analyzing large datasets and building dashboards.
• Familiarity with SEO experimentation and A/B testing.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills for advocating SEO priorities.
