Intern - Sustainable Energy Hub - Remote

Overview

The intern will work closely with the Sustainable Energy Hub to support UNDP’s vision to catalyze unprecedented action and partnerships to provide access to sustainable, affordable, and reliable energy to 500 million more people by 2025.

In Short

• Assist in data processing and knowledge management activities focused on sustainable energy.
• Contribute to the Energy AI initiative using NLP and data science techniques.
• Support quantitative and qualitative analytics for tracking UNDP project beneficiaries.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for reporting.
• Utilize advanced NLP techniques to support knowledge graph development.
• Collaborate on machine learning model development for energy trend predictions.
• Conduct literature reviews and catalog case studies on digital technologies.
• Assist in cleaning and managing databases related to energy access.
• Work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
• Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a postgraduate degree or final year of a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Energy, or related fields.
• Strong background in data management and processing.
• Experience in data science and analytics related to climate change and sustainable energy.
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning techniques.
• Hands-on experience in designing data-driven projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
