Software Engineer - SIEM Platform (Ruby/Rails) - Remote

Overview

The Huntress team is looking for an innovative and highly motivated Software Engineer with excellent problem-solving and communication skills to join our team and play a key role in enhancing our log parsing capabilities.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain log source parsers using Ruby on Rails.
• Write and optimize regular expressions (Regex) to extract critical information from log files.
• Collaborate with security engineers to understand log formats and parsing requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of log parsing through testing and validation.
• Contribute to the improvement of our log parsing infrastructure and processes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• 2+ years of programming experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of regular expressions (Regex) and their application in log parsing.
• Basic understanding of security by design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
