Accounts & Finance Officer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a versatile and dependable finance all-rounder who can step in and cover different roles when team members are absent. This person will handle payroll, accounts payable, collections, reconciliations, and related finance tasks.

In Short

• Work from home as an independent contractor.
• Assist with finance-related tasks as required.
• Handle payroll, accounts payable, and collections.
• Ensure compliance with Australian GST rules.
• Use tools like Stripe, GoCardless, Xero, and HubSpot.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Work Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (AU Time Zone).
• Manage supplier invoices and payment runs.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle collections and follow up on overdue accounts.

Requirements

• Sharp eye for detail and high accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Experience with finance software (Xero, HubSpot).
• Confidence in phone communication.
• Flexibility and reliability.
• Experience in accounts payable and collections.
• Understanding of GST compliance.
• Ability to manage subscriptions and invoicing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
