Overview

The Volunteer Coordinator VISTA at Hunger Free America will work to enhance the organization’s volunteerism efforts and partnerships, focusing on recruiting volunteers and managing events to address hunger in the United States.

In Short

• Recruit volunteers for hunger-related service opportunities.
• Develop corporate volunteering partnerships.
• Organize events, including the annual MLK Serve-a-thon.
• Create communication newsletters for volunteers and partners.
• Develop marketing materials for the Volunteerism Department.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in volunteering and recruitment preferred.
• Project coordination or event management experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of databases and Salesforce is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Interest in social justice and food security issues.
