The Utilization Management Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant uses occupational therapy knowledge and skills to support the coordination, documentation and communication of long-term supports and services and/or benefit administration determinations.

In Short

• Utilize occupational therapy knowledge to support care coordination.
• Document and communicate long-term support services.
• Work on moderately complex to complex issues.
• Interpret criteria, policies, and procedures for optimal treatment.
• Coordinate care with providers and members.
• Requires an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum two years of experience in home health or rehabilitation.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Remote work with some travel within Virginia.

Requirements

• Active license as Occupational Therapy Assistant in Virginia.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Demonstrated presentation skills.
• Willingness to manage diverse projects.
• Health Plan experience preferred.
• Experience with utilization review process preferred.
• Relevant graduate degree preferred.
