Senior Health Equity Strategy Professional - Remote

Overview

The Senior Health Equity Strategy Professional supports the development of the organization's strategic direction and coordination of health care equity to reduce or eliminate health disparities.

In Short

• Support the development of strategic direction for health equity.
• Identify policies adversely affecting health access for marginalized groups.
• Ensure culturally appropriate delivery of services.
• Partner with community organizations to address social determinants of health.
• Evaluate communications for cultural appropriateness.
• Support diverse health service provider pipeline development.
• Analyze data for quality improvement recommendations.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Must reside in Michigan or within 40 miles of the border in Indiana or Ohio.
• Travel required up to 25% across Michigan.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience in health care or social service settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields.
• Preferred: Previous Medicaid or Managed Care experience.
• Preferred: Bilingual or multilingual candidates.
• Language proficiency assessment required for non-English speakers.
