Director of Revenue Accounting - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Revenue Accounting to lead our global revenue accounting function. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, while building scalable processes and policies to support a growing public company environment.

In Short

• Own all aspects of global revenue accounting, including contract reviews and monthly revenue close processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert in revenue accounting and ASC 606 guidance.
• Drive continuous process transformation and automation across revenue accounting.
• Own the functional design and integrity of the revenue recognition system.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on non-standard contract strategy and policies.
• Provide guidance on accounting implications of pricing changes and product launches.
• Collaborate on revenue forecasting related to new go-to-market initiatives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the revenue accounting team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in accounting with mastery of ASC 606.
• Strong experience with revenue reporting infrastructure (e.g., AREV, NetSuite).
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and adaptable, comfortable across multiple priorities.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and SEC reporting requirements.
