Staff Software Engineer, API - Remote

Overview

Headspace is seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer, API to join its Paysumer Team and be responsible for building out great partner experiences and expanding access to and monetizing the audiences that Headspace can serve via Health Plan and D2C Channels. You will be tasked with prototyping, architecting, and executing on the creation of our enterprise platform.

In Short

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Write well designed, testable, performant, and efficient code.
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Build APIs on Typescript/Node.js for AWS-based services.
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
• Lead and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

• Define and drive the creation of comprehensive specifications.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential operational risks.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proven ability to lead projects independently.
• Experience in the full software development lifecycle.
• Extensive experience with comprehensive testing methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Track record of making sound technical decisions.
