Vice President, Global Controller - Remote

Overview

Houzz is looking for an experienced and strategic Global Controller with deep SaaS expertise to join our high performing Finance function as a key member of the Finance leadership team. Reporting to the CFO, we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, versatile and hands-on, helping to support Houzz’s software growth and leading a critical area of our business - our Accounting and Billing Operations teams.

In Short

• Oversee all accounting and billing operations functions.
• Review financial statements and trend analysis.
• Manage and implement controls for effective cash management.
• Lead the implementation of internal control procedures (SOX).
• Enhance internal processes for ongoing public company readiness.
• Coordinate with external firms for audits and tax filings.
• Partner with FP&A to analyze operating results.
• Prepare materials for technical accounting discussions.
• Develop efficient processes that scale with the company.
• Provide leadership to strengthen the Accounting and Billing Operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA with demonstrated technical accounting background.
• Broad financial and operational skills in a high-growth tech company.
• Experience in strengthening accounting processes.
• Ability to design and implement new policies.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements.
• High level of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels.
