Adoption Director - Remote

Overview

The Adoption Director works to ensure successful home finding and provides clinical support for adoptive families throughout the adoption process.

In Short

• Identifies qualified adoptive families for waiting children.
• Completes home study reviews and ensures compliance with requirements.
• Provides ongoing education and support to adoptive families.
• Participates in collaborative calls with overseas partners.
• Facilitates support groups for families preparing for travel.
• Assesses and monitors parent education programs.
• Provides clinical support to families in crisis situations.
• Ensures adoption eligibility of waiting children.
• Maintains knowledge on adoption-related issues.

Requirements

• Master’s level Clinician, LCSW or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum five years of post-graduate clinical experience.
• Thorough understanding of ethical clinical service.
• Adoption experience and/or training in TBRI are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to families.
• Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Commitment to ongoing education and training.
• Ability to leverage technology for efficiency.
• Flexibility and time management skills.
