Global Product Specialist – Offshore Substation and Subsea Transformers - Remote

Overview

Hitachi Energy is seeking candidates to work as a part of the Global Product Group (GPG) Power Transformers. The Global Product Specialist (GPS) will work directly with the Global Product Manager (GPM) for Industrial & Specialty Transformers and collaborate with worldwide R&D centers to capture and translate customer requirements into improvements of existing solutions and set directions for new product developments.

• Analyze market situation and understand international standards.
• Conduct competitor analyses and identify technical product gaps.
• Manage technical specifications of Industrial and Specialty Power Transformers.
• Support Global Product Manager in developing business cases.
• Collect and share market technical data for product validation.
• Prepare and present technical communication materials for product launches.
• Keep engineering, operations, sales informed on market trends.
• Provide support for data quality improvement and customer meetings.
• Ensure training material for transformers is available.
• Participate in trade shows and conferences.

Requirements

• MSc or BSc Engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transformer engineering or R&D.
• Technical knowledge of transformer portfolio.
• Knowledge of offshore wind or O&G substation transformers is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English, with experience in technical writing.
