Field Service Engineer - Remote

Overview

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team, focusing on the installation, modification, testing, commissioning, and repair of High Voltage equipment.

In Short

• Plan and execute technical field assignments for High Voltage equipment.
• Perform field service operations requiring technical skills.
• Supervise the installation and commissioning of high voltage substation equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on High Voltage equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment based on knowledge and experience.
• Compile and evaluate data to resolve operating problems.
• Conduct inspections and maintain detailed records.
• Work nonstandard schedules with exposure to varying conditions.
• Travel estimated at 80% for field assignments.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Technical certificate in electrical or mechanical field with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with High Voltage Substations and equipment.
• Proven leadership experience in electrical projects.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with test equipment such as CB timers and Megger.
• Windows applications knowledge.
