In Short

• Remote role with 60–70% travel across North America.
• Support the Grid Integration Service team.
• Work on high-voltage substation and power quality projects.
• Lead and support commissioning of substations and FACTS equipment.
• Guide and coordinate teams on-site.
• Manage commissioning budgets, schedules, and energization plans.
• Ensure safe execution aligned with EH&S standards.
• Represent Hitachi Energy in customer-facing environments.
• Interpret technical drawings and communicate project progress.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in HV substation or power quality commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits and protection systems.
• Experience with transformers, UPS, and capacitor/reactor banks.
• Familiarity with thyristor, IGCT, or IGBT valves is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
