Patient Care Technician I - Float Pool - Remote

Overview

This position provides direct care to patients and assists with non-direct patient care unit coordination in a community hospital setting.

• Provides direct patient care and assists with daily living activities.
• Documents patient care activities and vital signs accurately.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment in the unit.
• Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assists with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Expected to practice medical asepsis and respect patient dignity.
• Completes work assignments efficiently within scheduled time.
• Must attend 2 weeks of training.
• Compliance with HIPAA and company policies is required.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills and CPR certification required.
• Preferred acute care experience within the last 3 years.
• Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program preferred.
