Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a crucial member of the healthcare team responsible for providing care to patients and families under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.

In Short

• Provide general nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assist with the preparation of equipment and support clinical providers during treatments.
• Collect assessment data and document clinical information on patient records.
• Order and gather diagnostic tests as directed by clinical providers.
• Schedule procedures and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Administer medications and assist with basic medical tasks.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards in healthcare.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Current LPN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Criminal background clearances (Act 34, 33, 73).
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in healthcare.
• PALS or ACLS certification preferred.
• State-approved IV course certification preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC documentation process.
