Clinical Informatics Specialist - Remote

Overview

This role oversees and facilitates the use of current state workflow and training, participating in planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical systems and services within the Allegheny Health Network.

In Short

• Acts as a liaison between IT and clinicians for Electronic Health Record optimization.
• Conducts current and future state analyses with stakeholders.
• Provides ongoing support through scheduled rounding and on-call duties.
• Participates in teams to provide insights on clinical processes.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and training on clinical systems.
• Travels to various facilities for analysis and support.
• Conducts process audits to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Provides training for administrative and clinical staff.
• May handle clinical quality metrics and data reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Associate’s Degree in relevant fields.
• 1 year of experience using an EMR in a clinical capacity.
• PC skills and proficiency in spreadsheet and database software.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
• Certifications may be required based on location.
