Lead Engineer - Workflows AI - Remote

Overview

HighLevel is looking for a lead-level engineer to drive Gen AI initiatives for workflows, focusing on designing, building, and scaling AI-powered workflow automation features end-to-end.

• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of AI-powered workflow automation features.

• Ensure performance tuning and cost optimization in GCP-based deployments.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading projects and mentoring engineers.
• Fullstack Engineering: Node.js backend, Vue frontend, API design & scaling.
• Experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
• Strong skills in prompt engineering and RAG pipelines.
• Knowledge of vector databases like Pinecone and Weaviate.
• Experience in agentic AI workflows.
• Familiarity with fine-tuning techniques.
• Experience with data layers including MongoDB and ElasticSearch.
• Cloud deployment experience on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD for AI workloads.
