Overview

The Director of Clinical Education and Development provides strategic leadership and direction for clinical education and professional development initiatives across the organization. This role partners closely with Learning and Development to design, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve high-impact educational programs that enhance clinical documentation, coding accuracy, and overall healthcare delivery.

• Leading the creation and maintenance of comprehensive education and training programs for healthcare professionals.
• Developing and delivering curricula, workshops, and training sessions focused on clinical documentation improvement.
• Overseeing training delivery methods and ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
• Conducting quality assurance reviews and ongoing monitoring of program effectiveness.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align educational efforts with organizational priorities.
• Staying current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Partnering with stakeholders to evaluate outcomes and track metrics.
• Designing and implementing comprehensive clinical education programs.
• Chairing educational committees and collaborating with departments to align initiatives.
• Supporting client education on documentation accuracy.

Requirements

• Advanced clinical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred credentials: CCS, CCDS, CRCR, CDIP, HCQM.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
