Senior Accountant - Remote

In Short

• Perform month end close accounting responsibilities related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
• Analyze and report on inventory levels, gross margins, and manufacturing spend.
• Manage inventory using a standard costing method and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Identify and drive process improvement opportunities in the month end close process.
• Work closely with cross-functional groups to develop and maintain processes.
• Prepare, consolidate, review and present cost analyses and KPIs.
• Support quarterly and annual audits by external auditors.
• Conduct physical count of inventory and monitor cycle count program.
• Participate in maintaining the internal financial control environment.
• Support ad-hoc process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/CMA a plus.
• Minimum 4 years experience in general accounting.
• Inventory management and reporting experience.
• Understanding of Supply Chain and Cost Accounting.
• Comfortable working with large data sets.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems.
• Experience with internal controls.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills with non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
