Overview

HCEsquared is seeking a dynamic and analytical Data Scientist to support our mission of leveraging data to drive business growth and impactful decisions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to shaping our data strategy across the business.

In Short

  • Lead the execution of complex analytics projects related to HCEsquared’s data warehouse and data assets.
  • Build scalable models from messy data from disparate data sources.
  • Help establish and maintain robust data governance processes.
  • Serve as the data science and engineering SME for new innovations.
  • Design and execute deep-dive diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and document data assumptions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data needs into analytic approaches.
  • Guide test design, research methodologies, and model validation.
  • Drive the evolution of HCEsquared’s data assets by implementing cutting-edge analytics methods.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in querying cloud-based databases.
  • Strong background in machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
  • Ability to convey complex data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a proactive approach to challenges.
