Field Engineer Apprentice - Remote

Overview

The Field Engineer Apprentice at GE HealthCare will observe and perform various equipment service processes to ensure customer satisfaction and proper functionality of diagnostic imaging equipment.

In Short

• Work within hospital radiology environment to troubleshoot imaging equipment issues.
• Complete Preventative Maintenance on designated equipment.
• Perform safety and environmental inspections.
• Maintain daily communications with customers.
• Learn proper care of tools and test equipment.
• Enhance technical knowledge of medical equipment standards.
• Assist experienced technicians with repairs.
• Complete necessary service and repair documentation.
• Identify and report customer quality concerns.
• Comply with GEHC Quality Manual and applicable laws.

Requirements

• AS, BS, MS degree, or High School Diploma/GED with 6 months experience.
• Experience servicing electronic, IT, or mechanical equipment.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to interpret schematic diagrams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Local candidates strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Must comply with background check and health policies.
