Research Analyst II - Remote

Overview

The Research Analyst II (RA II) will be part of a growing team at the Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) at Harvard University. This role involves conducting quantitative research to improve education outcomes using evidence-based practices.

In Short

• Prepare data for analysis and implement statistical analyses with minimal supervision.
• Assemble and prepare large data sets for analysis.
• Guide Research Analyst I’s on data cleaning and structure.
• Conduct independent statistical analyses in Stata or R.
• Develop software code suitable for reuse by others.
• Automate analytic processes.
• Deliver presentations on results for internal and external audiences.
• Draft sections of reports and papers for publication.
• Build relationships with external education partners.
• Provide technical and research support to agency staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, statistics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in STATA and/or R programming.
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and quantitative research design.
• Experience with Randomized Control Trials and econometric analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and develop solutions.
• K-12 sector or university research experience preferred.
• Master’s degree in relevant field is a plus.
• Experience with Python or Stan is a plus.
