Senior Software Engineer, Product - Remote

Overview

We’re hiring engineers to join these teams and work on customer-facing products, developing features and iterating across our platform to help define the customer financial journey at Gusto. Our main goal in the teams is to strengthen our customers' financial wellness and to deliver a consistently great experience across all of our products.

In Short

• Build products that mitigate financial risk and prevent fraud.
• Own what you build end to end, from architecture to implementation.
• Design highly scalable systems for business growth.
• Enable fraud signal collection and anomaly detection.
• Drive 3rd party API integration for new payment features.
• Partner with various teams for financial reconciliation and bookkeeping.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Passionate about scaling Fintech systems.
• Independent and able to deliver production-ready code.
• Experience with SaaS technologies like Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, and AWS.
• Well-structured, maintainable, and documented code.
• Experience developing best practices for scalable systems.
• Payments and/or risk experience is a plus.
