COMSEC Specialist - Remote

Overview

The COMSEC Specialist will manage and support communication security operations, ensuring compliance with federal policies and conducting audits.

• Manage and support communication security (COMSEC) operations, including key management and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with federal COMSEC policies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic audits and risk assessments on COMSEC systems.
• Provide training and awareness programs related to COMSEC protocols.
• Maintain COMSEC material accountability and perform cryptographic key management.
• Coordinate with intelligence and law enforcement agencies for secure communications.
• Develop and maintain a Communication Plan detailing key stakeholders, communication channels, and escalation procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in COMSEC operations.
• Experience with key management infrastructure (KMI) and cryptographic devices.
• Knowledge of federal COMSEC regulations and policies.
• Prior experience in federal agency handling classified communications.
• Knowledge of risk management framework (RMF), NIST security controls, and cybersecurity principles.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
