The College Scholar Advocate plays a crucial role in supporting low- and modest-income students through their college journey, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.

In Short

• Support college persistence and completion for students.
• Conduct regular check-ins with Scholars to monitor progress.
• Assist Scholars in identifying barriers to academic success.
• Facilitate meetings and communication with students.
• Collaborate with postsecondary institutions to support Scholars.
• Participate in strategic planning for scholarship programs.
• Help assess program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Provide content for newsletters and program communications.
• Attend meetings and represent the organization externally.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in college access programs.
• Knowledge of financial aid and college persistence strategies.
• Experience with CRM software like Salesforce.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work in a remote environment.
• Willingness to travel for work-related activities.
• Commitment to supporting underrepresented students.
