In Short

• Collaboratively design, build, and maintain internal detection systems based on the Grafana observability stack.
• Research and develop sophisticated detection (as code) rules to cover risks and threats.
• Drive work with product teams to ensure effective telemetry of products.
• Lead the development of response tooling to streamline response activities.
• Integrate telemetry, detections, and response procedures into operational processes.
• Design security and operations metrics to track success.
• Lead the response to security alerts and potential incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a software engineering-oriented role with experience in programming languages (Go, TypeScript, Python).
• Experience with core security concepts and application to modern architectures.
• Experience with detection engineering concepts and practices.
• Experience with public clouds and Kubernetes container ecosystems.
• A motivated self-starter with a passion for security.
• Excellent communication skills in various formats.
• Work eastern-time oriented hours.
