Assistant Controller - SaaS - Remote

Overview

The Assistant Controller will be detailed orient, with strong analytical and technical accounting skills, leading a 5-day month-end close cycle. They will drive automation into the accounting function to scale with our growing business.

In Short

• Lead the monthly accounting close process, resulting in a 5-day month end close.
• Scale revenue processes that drive efficiency in the order to cash cycle.
• Train, and mentor SaaS software focused accounting team and oversee their growth and development.
• Provide technical guidance on transactions and business activities including revenue recognition (ASC606).
• Support FP&A in providing monthly statements and ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Ad hoc tasks as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• CPA and/or public accounting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience managing a team, preferably in a high-growth SaaS software environment.
• Technical knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong ERP systems experience and process mindset with building scale and speed (NetSuite is a huge plus).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships in a remote team environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
• Flexibility and resourcefulness to succeed in a fast-growing environment.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong excel skills over large amounts of data (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Charts).
