Senior Revenue Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Revenue Accountant at GoGuardian, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606. You will play a key role in analyzing revenue transactions, preparing supporting schedules, and the month-end close process.

In Short

• Perform monthly revenue close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive enhancements to revenue accounting operations
• Review and analyze customer contracts for revenue recognition compliance
• Prepare and maintain detailed revenue schedules and reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue-related issues
• Support maintenance of revenue recognition systems and tools
• Assist management with unusual revenue transactions documentation
• Prepare external audit schedules and assist with audit requests
• Stay updated on revenue accounting standards and regulations

Requirements

• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, focusing on revenue recognition
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred
• Experience with high-growth companies, ideally in SaaS
• Working knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Experience with subscription billing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Stripe, Zuora)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Intacct or Netsuite
• Advanced Excel skills for managing large datasets
