Overview

The Sub-System Lead Engineer (SSLE) at General Motors is responsible for developing advanced mobility features, particularly in the areas of ICE/Hybrid propulsion systems. This role involves working throughout the vehicle development lifecycle, from requirements definition to testing and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with project management and independent decision-making.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and embedded controls.
• Physics-based understanding of customer needs.
• Ability to prioritize tasks with limited direction.
• Experience with change management tools preferred.
• Experience in dynamic electromechanical systems is a plus.
