Quality Engineering Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Quality Engineering Specialist will work in the Software Development & Integration Lab, focusing on building, deploying, maintaining, and monitoring test benches that simulate vehicle subsystems.

In Short

• Full-time position based in Markham, Ontario.
• Build and deploy component-, subsystem-, and system-level test benches.
• Troubleshoot and repair bench hardware and wiring.
• Flash ECUs using Vehicle Software Configuration Management tools.
• Develop and maintain automation script tools.
• Provide technical support for lab users.
• Monitor bench health and maximize uptime.
• Configure and maintain bench test PCs.
• Support lab infrastructure reliability.
• Assist with lab procurement and inventory management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience in hardware-in-loop test systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Experience with programming/scripting in Python.
• Familiarity with automotive Ethernet and CAN tools.
• Experience with ECU flashing and wiring harnesses.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Preferred vehicle experience (AutoDrive, EcoCAR, Formula SAE).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Working knowledge in Linux-based PCs and IT networks.
