Overview

The Field Quality Engineering Specialist will oversee quality assurance processes for various clients in the aerospace sector, ensuring compliance with industry standards and improving supplier quality systems.

In Short

  • Manage quality assurance processes including First Article Inspection and product audits.
  • Coordinate AS 9100 compliance audits.
  • Evaluate supplier quality systems and conduct gap analyses.
  • Prepare and present metrics related to quality improvements.
  • Train associates and suppliers in Six Sigma techniques.
  • Prepare progress reports and program reviews.
  • Conduct supplier audits and manage continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Focus on control and variation reduction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate quality strategies.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience with suppliers preferred.
  • Certified Green Belt or equivalent; Lean Expert or Black Belt preferred.
  • Experience with automotive or aerospace products preferred.
  • Training in RCCA, Process Mapping, FMEAs, and Control Plans preferred.
  • Experience in Supplier Quality and conducting audits.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • US citizenship required due to client contracts.
