Senior Software Development Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Senior Software Engineer to join the UBC REMS team. At UBC, we operate in a fast-paced environment that encompasses a blend of new development, maintenance, debugging, and business support.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using various technologies.
• Collaborate with IT Business Analyst and IT Project Manager.
• Document solutions, designs, and create user-friendly guides.
• Develop and maintain Unit Tests and Integration Tests.
• Conduct code reviews and write design tasks.
• Adhere to software development methodologies and version control.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services is required.
• This is a fully remote position.
• Availability during Eastern Time (USA) hours is mandatory.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• At least eight years of experience in software development.
• Two or more years of experience with jQuery.
• At least two years of hands-on experience with React, Node.js, and NPM.
• Proficient in using development tools like Postman and Visual Studio.
• Two or more years of experience with Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong team player with excellent troubleshooting skills.
