Overview

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset to develop backend services and technical components for FoodGenius, ensuring reliable builds, deployments, operations, and further development.

In Short

Develop backend services and technical components using TypeScript/Node.js
Work on production systems with PostgreSQL, APIs, and service-oriented architectures
Containerize applications with Docker
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and automate build and deployment processes
Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes environments
Develop and operate software on various target systems including servers and cloud environments
Collaborate closely with product, platform engineering, and scrum master

Requirements

Several years of experience in backend software development
Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js
Proficient with Linux as a development and runtime environment
Good understanding of Docker and containerized applications
Experience with Kubernetes for deployment and operation of workloads
Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
Experience with CI/CD, preferably GitLab
Strong automation and operational understanding
Experience or interest in hosting/cloud environments and AI-supported applications
Structured working style and technical ambition
Very good German language skills
