Awaed is Saudi Arabia’s leading retail investment platform fintech. We are building the country's first investment super app — think Robinhood, tailored for the Saudi market. After a 10x growth in 2024, we’ve captured a significant share of the market and are preparing for our next phase: scaling performance and preparing for IPO.

In Short

• Design and implement scalable backend systems for trading and settlement.
• Architect the middle tier that powers complex order routing, user workflows, and API integrations.
• Define tech stack, system architecture, and development roadmap.
• Document plans, manage sprint cycles, and delegate tasks across the team.
• Collaborate remotely with the Cairo-based engineering team.

Requirements

• 5+ years (Tech Lead) or 3+ years (Senior Developer) of backend system development.
• Proven experience in high-performance trading systems or real-time financial applications.
• Strong command of system architecture, API design, and data handling under load.
• Passion for clean code — ideally with personal GitHub projects or side work to show.
• Comfortable working independently and in startup environments.
