Overview

We're hiring a Data Lead at Gitpod. Reporting to the Head of Growth, you'll own and evolve Gitpod's data function as we scale. At Gitpod, data drives everything we do - from product decisions and user experience to our go-to-market strategy and operational efficiency.

In Short

• Own and scale Gitpod's data platform end-to-end.
• Drive data-informed decision making across the company.
• Establish and maintain data engineering best practices.
• Enable enterprise sales motion with data insights.
• Partner cross-functionally to understand data needs.
• Conduct a critical audit of the current data stack.
• Meet with key stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Create a system health assessment.
• Develop and present a 90-day roadmap.
• Implement quick wins focused on simplification.

Requirements

• Experience being the primary owner of a data function.
• Built or evolved data platforms supporting business growth.
• Track record of working across the data stack.
• Experience with modern data stack tools.
• Background in product analytics and customer data platforms.
• Evidence of stakeholder collaboration and business impact.
• Basic JavaScript experience.
