Senior Area Sales Manager, Financial Services - Remote

Overview

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) role is vital in all of our territory selling markets. As the ASM leader for our AMER Financial Services vertical, you will lead a 5-8 person, dynamic sales team, supporting existing and new clients while helping GitLab to surpass our growth goals.

In Short

• Manage software sales, bookings, and revenue of a sales team.
• Analyze market dynamics to maximize existing successes and create new sales growth opportunities.
• Prepare forecasts, territory/industry management, and growth plans.
• Educate team on significant industry factors including competitive products, regulations, trends, customer needs, and pricing.
• Establish and report on metrics to measure team performance.
• Ensure that the sales plan aligns with corporate revenue goals.
• Recruit and hire top talent onto your team.
• Manage a team of 5-8 Strategic Account Leaders.

Requirements

• 7-10 years in management with a record of Enterprise Sales Management.
• Experience selling to Fortune 500 clients.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives.
• Experience utilizing CRM systems and marketing automation systems.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Strong presentation and executive-level communication skills.
• Ability to use GitLab.
• Ability to travel if needed.
