In Short

• Develop Golang Backend components leveraging high-scale data pipelines
• Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering
• Craft code that meets standards for style, maintainability, and best practices
• Integrate monitoring and insights features into product areas
• Develop features and improvements to the GitLab product
• Ship features and improvements with minimal guidance
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance
• Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity

Requirements

• Professional experience with Golang and PostgreSQL
• Strong database experience and interest in developing expertise in ClickHouse
• Experience working with a platform or complex applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD or other internal tooling
• Familiarity with distributed, scalable and reliable systems
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
• Monitoring system health with tools like Prometheus or Grafana
• Analyzing metrics, developing automation scripts, scaling systems
• Interest in learning Golang
• Experience with GCP and/or AWS is a plus
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure is preferred
• Experience operating a managed Kubernetes cluster is preferred
