Senior Data Scientist, Product Analytics - Remote

Overview

Geotab is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, Product Analytics who will perform data analytics to answer tangible business needs and find meaningful insights.

In Short

• Examine large data sets to identify trends and develop visual presentations.
• Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets and prepare reports.
• Write optimized SQL queries for complex business questions.
• Identify data quality issues and coordinate with engineering for new data.
• Proactively identify trends and correlations for product investment.
• Provide project leadership and guidance to team members.
• Manage multiple projects for different stakeholders.
• Test performance of data-driven products and make recommendations.
• Conduct A/B experiments to identify root issues.

Requirements

• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Graduate Degree in Data Science or related field is highly valued.
• 5-8 years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
• 5-8 years experience in writing SQL queries.
• 5-8 years experience in programming in Python.
• Solid understanding of machine learning and operations research.
• Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques.
• Affinity for statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
