Lead Data Scientist, ITS (Remote)

Overview

Geotab is seeking a Lead Data Scientist, ITS who will utilize strong problem-solving skills with statistical analysis in order to align data products with Geotab’s organizational goals.

In Short

• Develop and refine inference and predictive models.
• Provide expert project leadership as a subject matter expert.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
• Create algorithms and models to solve complex business problems.
• Test the performance of models/data products.
• Mentor multiple Data Scientists.
• Drive innovation in data science methodologies.
• Own responsibility for the design and maintenance of metrics and reports.
• Conduct experiments to identify causality for data anomalies.
• Stay up to date on the latest research in data science.

Requirements

• 10-12 years of Data Science or related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of programming languages (Python, SQL).
• Experience with model experimentation and deployment.
• Proficient in building models using Python libraries.
• Experience with AirFlow, Beam, Spark, BigQuery.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning methodologies.
• Relevant industry experience.
• Experience working within a technical or engineering organization.
• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or related field.
