Overview

The Pharmacy Benefits Specialist assists with resolving business-related cases by taking necessary workflow steps, including outreach to pharmacies for billing information and medication processing.

In Short

• Work in designated queues to complete business-related tasks.
• Handle call back cases to coordinate with pharmacy for pending medications.
• Identify and prioritize cases needing immediate action.
• Assist pharmacies with updating billing information.
• Document and update records in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Meet required metrics while maintaining quality standards.
• Adhere to company policies and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• College graduate of any 4-year course, allied health course is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required.
• Experience in US Healthcare and Workers’ Compensation is an advantage.
• Prior knowledge of US pharmacy procedures and medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA principles is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred.
• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
• Keen attention to detail and follow-through abilities.
• Typing speed of > 45 words per minute preferred.
