Overview

The Paint Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced automotive assembly environment.

In Short

  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and GM standards.
  • Use CMMS to track work orders and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs and spare parts inventory.
  • Communicate performance metrics to leadership.
  • Support audits and inspections related to equipment maintenance.
  • Provide technical direction on equipment efficiency strategies.
  • Champion the spare parts process including procurement.
  • Work autonomously with occasional guidance from supervision.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM) and Power BI.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective cross-functional communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills related to scheduling and planning.
  • Ability to work all shifts and support different areas on the plant floor.
  • Familiarity with automated systems including robotics and PLCs.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
