Overview

We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and mission-driven Vice President of Government Affairs to lead our engagement with federal policymakers, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders.

In Short

• Develop and lead the company’s federal government relations strategy.
• Monitor federal legislation and regulatory developments affecting genetic testing.
• Represent the company in Washington, D.C.
• Build bipartisan relationships with key policymakers.
• Provide oversight of state government affairs activities across all 50 states.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess policy risks and opportunities.
• Advise leadership on political and regulatory trends.
• Lead a government affairs team and manage external consultants.
• Set clear expectations and drive a positive workplace culture.
• Champion a culture of feedback and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree required, advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in government affairs or public policy.
• Deep understanding of U.S. legislative and regulatory processes.
• Proven advocacy and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience managing teams and external consultants.
• Advanced degree in public policy or related field preferred.
• Based in Washington DC.
• Experience working with Capitol Hill and federal agencies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
