Overview

Ribbon Communications is seeking an experienced IP Optical Sales Engineer to support its expansion in the IP Optical market space, focusing on network infrastructure and optical networking solutions.

In Short

  • Lead pre-sales activities for service providers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in IP/MPLS and optical networking.
  • Develop network solutions using Ribbon’s and third-party products.
  • Provide pre-sales support for IP Optical product lines.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management teams.
  • Conduct technical presentations for prospective clients.
  • Coordinate customer lab trials and proofs of concept.
  • Build strong relationships with customers.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in Sales Engineering or Product Line Management.
  • Strong pre-sales experience in L1-L3 Network Engineering.
  • Expertise in IP/MPLS network protocols.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Industry certifications (Juniper, Cisco, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in Mobile Networks (4G, 5G) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MPLS-TP and Carrier Ethernet solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with proof-of-concept trials.
  • Familiarity with government broadband expansion programs.
