As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Gemini, you will lead engineering teams towards modern DevOps practices, developing automation and operational tooling while influencing development practices and culture.

In Short

Provide operational support and engineering for various Gemini services.
Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market across all services.
Guide engineering teams on supported services provided by Platform.
Run performance evaluations and improvements for systems.
Provide architecture recommendations as part of SDLC.
Create “Production-ready Scorecards” for system health evaluation.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated resolution best practices.
Define SLIs and SLOs with engineering teams.
Educate teams on reliability and resiliency best practices.
Build operational tooling and automations.

Requirements

7+ years using monitoring, alerting, and automation tooling.
Good knowledge of cloud technology providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience in a code-first environment developing automated solutions.
Experience as a Technical Leader within a team.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
Experience writing scripts in languages like Python or Go.
Experience analyzing system performance and recommending improvements.
Experience mentoring engineering teams on best-practice solutions.
Experience with automation-first public cloud infrastructure (Terraform).
